During the pursuit of Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and International Relations at Lehigh University, Yang served as a sports beat reporter and photographer for The Brown and White, covering Mountain Hawks home games across multiple sports. Additionally, during his internship in the Lehigh Athletics multimedia office, Yang contributed to the coverage of Lehigh’s home games on ESPN+ as a camera operator.

Outside Lehigh campus, Yang’s deep passion for horse racing has led him to visit numerous racetracks across the United States and internationally. As an aspiring media professional, he developed a habit of documenting his experiences through photos at each track. This passion ultimately earned him an internship with The New York Racing Association, where he joined the crew to provide television coverage of the Saratoga summer racing series on Fox Sports.

08 Lehigh University V. Army West Point, Patriots League Volleyball
SEP. 20, 2024

LOCATION: Leeman-Turner Arena
SCORE:    Lehigh 3-2 Army West Point
Megan Schulte is the very definition of the word centerpiece on a sports team. She was named Rookie of the Week after her first game, selected to the All-Patriot League Team every year, and nearly played and started every game of her college career. The Brown and White has written multiple pieces about her but couldn’t help coming back to her again, as her presence on the floor not only deterred opponents but also inspired her teammates to unleash their full potential.

Even in a game like this when Lehigh’s number 22 wasn't at her peak performance, she still brought confidence to the team and drew the blockers' attention, allowing other hitters to take over. Combined with the solid defense effort this team is known for, this victory against Army was yet another showcase of Lehigh's ability to hang on and fight its way through tough early-set trials and game on the line situations. Another year that its fans could proudly look forward to.
